Description: To promote greater competitiveness in Belize, this project will: (a) conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current tax and incentives structure and provide targeted policy recommendations; and (b) provide technical assistance to simplify and streamline process related to import licenses and supplies control.

Project Name: Restructuring and Institutional Strengthening of BELTRAIDE (BL-CC2005)
Description: BELTRAIDE is the institution responsible for investment attraction and export promotion in Belize. In order to build internal capacity within the institution, this project will support the: (a) restructuring and strengthening of BELTRAIDE to enhance strategic planning and program execution; and (b) establishment of specialized units in support of investment attraction, export promotion and SME development.

Project Name:  Strengthening Public-Private Dialogue in Saint Lucia (SX-CC2007)
Description: To support public-private dialogue in St. Lucia, this project will: (a) design a comprehensive framework to support public-private dialogue; (b) establish the National Competitiveness and Productivity Council (NCPC) and its technical unit; (c) generate knowledge on St. Lucia’s competitiveness challenges and potential alleviating policies; and (d) build capacity to develop and implement necessary reforms to promote national competitiveness and improve productivity.

Project Name: Framework for Public Offerings in Trinidad and Tobago (TT-CC2016)
Description: The project will finance: (a) a mapping of SOEs, the creation of an inventory that differentiates companies by size, sector, and level of central government transfers and an audit/analysis of the financial and economic well-being of each SOE and a recommendation for improving the productivity of each company; (b) a review of international best practices for the development of a public offerings program and design a tailored program and implementation strategy for Trinidad and Tobago; (c) development and implementation of a strategy to introduce a new style of corporate governance based on productivity and performance measurement; and (d) information dissemination.

Description: To upgrade the regulatory framework for investment attraction in Barbados, this project will: (a) analyze the regulatory framework related to national and foreign direct investment; (b) map the cycle for investing in Barbados; (c) develop a targeted sector analysis, identifying opportunities to be promoted for FDI: (d) identify the necessary policy interventions to foster and facilitate FDI; and (e) provide technical advice and capacity building in institutions dedicated to investment promotion in Barbados.
