Training Schedule

1. Principles of Shrimp Pond Management/Husbandry, Nutrition and Feeding in a Post – EMS Era (Duration 3 hr)

2. Introductory Aquatic Microbiology (Duration 2.5hr)

3. Water Quality Management (In-situ and laboratory Analysis) (Duration 2.5hr)

4. Effluent and Waste Management Best Practices, Policy and Regulations. (Duration 2.5hr)

5. Principles of Shrimp Disease Management – Diagnostics and Treatment. (Duration 2.5hr)

6. Disease Surveillance Program (e.g., sampling, compulsory notification, export requirements and permitting, etcetera) (Duration 2.5hr)

7. Combined courses: 1. Pond Management/husbandry, nutrition and Feeding in a Post – EMS era, and 2. Water Quality Management.
This will be an on-the farm course that will teach the key concepts of pond management of the “Asian/Thailand Culture System” through demonstration of typical daily management/husbandry activities at a farm.
