This project studies the factors that have led large firms in the region to grow and achieve competitiveness and scale, as well as the challenges and obstacles faced along the way. This knowledge can be used by business executives, corporate leaders as well as policy makers as they make decisions to grow and facilitate business. It also brings knowledge on business opportunities and the market potential for firms to profitably serve new markets, including the “base of the pyramid” populations in the region.
