Dr. Kieron Swift coordinates Compete Caribbean’s Business and Innovation Climate Reform Pillar. Dr Swift is a science, technology, and innovation policy specialist with 20+ years of professional experience in private sector development, public sector advisory, and higher education. He has supported the development of the Caribbean region by strengthening the private sector’s capacity to innovate, while addressing key constraints that hinder innovation within the business environment.
He works on projects that drive innovation and productivity-enhancing activities at the firm or industry level, including competitiveness diagnostics, innovation funds, corporate venturing, startup ecosystem development, technology adoption, and entrepreneurship support programs.
Dr Swift has managed public sector digital transformation projects and also advised governments throughout the region on legislative and regulatory reform to enhance the business environment, and improve the broadband policy landscape.
